Dylan Maranda
Vancouver  --:--:--

Dylan Maranda is a filmmaker01 from Canada.

He founded DELUGE02, an artist-led company for auteur-driven feature films. He also directs commercials03, which have won a few awards and make his parents very proud. In his spare time, he keeps a debilitatingly unhurried photography04 practice and writes a newsletter05 about life, food, and art that’s infrequent but, he hopes, entertaining.

He’s trying to spend less time on the internet these days, which he’s aware is an odd thing to say on a website. If you need to contact06 him or his representation, there’s some info here.

— About

Dylan Maranda (b. 1994) is a Canadian director, writer, and producer. He grew up across the street from a movie theatre. Home was a one-bedroom apartment next to a railway line, shared with his parents and younger brother. Every morning, the train would rumble past the window beside his top bunk. The conductor would almost always wave.

He studied film direction at Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts.

As a writer, he has received Black List “Recommended” status, and he is a 2026 Centrum Foundation artist-in-residence for feature film writing.
